“Stay positive and true to yourself and you’ll have a great time. My time at Monta Vista was so rewarding because of the valuable interactions I shared with my friends, teachers and teammates, and because of the fulfillment I found in the enriching activities and illuminating experiences I pursued. Monta Vista is home to such an amazing spectrum of people and opportunities. Experience it your way, under your own standard of success, discover and cultivate your own personal and academic passions, and embrace and enjoy the company of others."
Elika Hashemi, Class of 2019
Elika will be attending UC Davis, majoring in Chemical Engineering
“With the breadth of opportunities offered at Monta Vista, I was able to explore my wide range of interests. I performed onstage as a part of plays and musicals that continuously pushed me to examine the psychology of different characters. As a part of Upcycling Plastics, I saw the concepts I learned in Chemistry class scaled up in a recycling system to combat the negative effects of film plastic pollution. In American Literature Honors, I engaged in critical thought and discussion with my classmates, and I developed skills in analysis that I carry with me to this day. During difficult times, I was always able to look forward to having fun with Improv Club."
