Meet our Students
Maya Gallo, Class of 2025
Maya will be attending San Jose State University, majoring in Kinesiology
"For me, high school was more than just academics-it was a transformative journey of personal growth, lifelong friendships, and invaluable mentorships. Each of my friends brought something unique into my life-some were fiery and ambitious, always pushing me to be the best version of myself, while others created a calm and much needed balance, which taught me the importance of enjoying the very few moments we have in high school. These friends became a source of motivation, laughter, and unwavering support, making every challenge easier to overcome and every accomplishment more meaningful."
Kathryn Foo, Class of 2025
Kathryn will be attending George Washington University, majoring in Political Science
"In Leadership, there’s a core value we strive to embody: Be the best for the world. At Monta Vista, there’s no denying the pressure to be the best in the world. It’s an environment that constantly challenges you—to perform better, study harder, and push your limits. But within that pressure lies a community filled with incredible opportunities, ambitious peers, and mentors who genuinely want to see you thrive. To the freshmen just starting their journey, I hope you remember this: while Monta Vista may push you, it also empowers you. If you take the initiative to seek out new opportunities, you’ll find the tools to grow and make a difference far beyond yourself. That’s what it means to be the best for the world.”
