Challenge Day

THE DATE FOR CHALLENGE DAY HAS BEEN CHANGED TO WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13, 2022. If you are interested, get a Permission Slip signed and turn in to Ms. Giarritta in the Main Office. If you have already turned in Permission Slip for February 3rd , it is good for April 13. You just need to remember the date change.  I will be in touch with more information as we get closer to April 13.

Sign up for Challenge Day by filling out and turning in the permission slip (see buttons at bottom of page) to the main office. Challenge Day will be held on April 13, 2022. If you are a parent or guardian and would like more information about how you can contribute please refer to the adult facilitator button below.

Ask anyone who has been to Challenge Day and he or she will try to describe the experience. People say they had a lot of fun, it opened their eyes, they saw others in a new light, or felt more connected and alive. They'll say that they want to go again. But it is hard to describe an experience, so experience Challenge Day for yourself and greatly increase your social/emotional IQ in one day. Registration is open to students, teachers, parents and staff. If you have attended Challenge Day before, you are eligible to be a Teen Leader. If this applies to you, write "Teen Leader" at the top of your permission slip.

The goal of Challenge Day is to help stop the teasing, alienation and lack of empathy that is so deeply a part of the school experience for millions of young people every day. Through a variety of games, trust-building activities and presentations, you will be given a unique opportunity to see yourself and the people around you through a new set of eyes. Since 1987, the nationwide Challenge Day programs have helped to transform the lives of thousands of teenagers just like you. Challenge Day has not only received numerous awards, but has also been featured in the best-selling book, Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul and the Emmy Award-winning documentary, Teen Files: Surviving High School. As a young leader from your community, you can be part of this positive change! Space is limited, so register ASAP by turning in the permission slip signed by your parent to the main office. Participation is on a first come, first served basis. It is required that participants arrive on time and stay for the entire program.

The event will be held on April 13, 2022 in the main gym from 8 a.m. to 2:15p.m.
